Kevin Myles

Described by the late Dr. Ron Walters as “one of the finest of minds and the worthiest of efforts to continue the struggle for justice in ways that are consistent with the challenges, the demands, and the tools of this century.” Kevin Myles is the newly named Southeastern Regional Director of NAACP.

And while Kevin Myles is one of the newest members of the National Staff, he is anything but new to the Association. Kevin has spent his adult life serving the community through volunteer service within the NAACP and has held virtually every position you can hold at a unit level. Kevin has served as a Branch Youth Advisor, Parliamentarian, Legal Redress Chairman, Branch AND State Political Action Chairman, Branch President (where he received 8 National Thalheimer Awards for programs and publications), and the Kansas State Conference President. He also served and continues to serve as a member of the NAACP’s National Leadership 500 Planning Committee, and the NAACP’s National Political and Legislative Action Committees.

Kevin is a twice invited participant of the Senate Leadership forum in Washington DC and has spoken nationally on the issues of leadership, diversity, and advocacy; as a panelist along with CNN’s Roland Martin at the NAACP National Leadership 500 summit, as a presenter at multiple MENSA and NAACP National Conventions, on Sirius radio, and in an interview with Leslie Stahl for a segment of 60 minutes.
